Clayton took a nap in style today. Why? Because I, Jennifer, have been sick and Fred took over nap time! How cool is it to sleep in your tent for a nap!?! Seriously, Fred rocks!!

Very Sick Jennifer
No pictures here, but I thought I'd let everyone know that Jennifer is very sick today. I'll spare you the details, but just keep her in your prayers. It appears to be viral, and we hope it doesn't spread like one.

The Twenty Third Psalm
Clayton has been working on the 23rd Psalm at school. He doesn't have it perfected yet, but he has a good start. I love some of his word pronunciations. Again, how big is he?!?
Jack can talk!!
Before you send me hate mail know two things...one, he doesn't say mommy that often and two, we are working on other names!! We are REALLY working! Don't give up on us yet!
Jack, the sucker thief, strikes again
I heard a great commotion coming from Clayton's room and this is what I found upon entering...
Please know that I was holding my hand out for him to relenquish the sucker. It looks like he is hitting me, but he is only pushing my hand away. And yes, he did get to keep the sucker!

Clayton is the leader!
Clayton got to be the leader at his preschool, Joyland, this morning! He was so excited! This is a very big deal for kids of all ages. It may seem boring to some, but I was struck by just how big he looks. It almost brings a tear to my eye. My how time flies!

Has anyone see Caroline's binky?
Monday we had a sweet little girl at our house named Caroline. Caroline's mom, Katie, had to run an errand to Camden and, after a five hour ride home from Indiana, Caroline was in no mood for an hour trip in the car. Jack and I were home and we gladly agreed to keep her. When Katie came to pick her up we could not find her binky...which is unusal in this house since we just don't lose things!! I looked and looked. Thankfully Katie had an extra binky for such a time as this. Well, this morning I was looking out the window at the snow and saw the plant in the pictures below. Does anyone see the binky in the first picture???

Chuck E. Cheese
Today we braved the winter weather warnings and headed to Jackson for a fun day of Sam's (for you Renee), Target, Hibbett's, T.J. Maxx, etc. We went with our good friends Beth, Aiden, Janna and Jesse Harrod. Since our trip was mainly for the adults we decided to add in a little fun and Chuck E. Cheese! Everyone had such a fun time. Mrs. Beth and I were worn out by the time we left!!

Clayton's first sleepover
Clayton had his first sleepover last night. He had lots of fun! He stayed with our good friends, Corey and Melody Cain. Caleb and Clayton are really good friends. Clayton was very excited about getting to play Corey's PS2...and I think he played it the entire time he was there!! Thanks to the Cain Family for the great time!

Union University
Anyone reading this blog is likely already aware of the devastation that befell our beloved Alma Mater this past Tuesday night. We praise God that no one was killed at Union University. If you would like to keep up with their recover efforts, check back regularly at uurecovery.blogspot.com. I know the leadership there appreciates your prayers. The days ahead will be difficult, but with God's grace and leadership, I am confident that they will approach them with the same dignity and acknowledgment of God's power that they have in recent days.

Jack, the sucker thief
So, Jack and I ran errands today while Clayton was at school. We went to the bank, the grocery, the recycle center and Walgreens. Needless to say when we got home the car was full of stuff to unload. As is our custom some of the time Jack will play in the car while I unload groceries and other stuff. He was playing in the car as usual and then I saw him out of the corner of my eye. He found my sucker stash!! I keep suckers in the car for emergency purposes. He found all of them. Once I saw him he had two in his mouth and two in his hand. He was so heart-broken when I took them away, but before I took them I at least got this precious picture. Before you start sending me hate mail know that Jack had already had one sucker this morning and I let him keep the ones that were in his mouth!!
