Although Clayton's birthday is not until next Friday we are celebrating tomorrow with a few friends. He chose to go to Jackson to Chuck E. Cheese (just for games) and Chick-Fil-A. He wanted a Transformer cake for his party. I enjoy baking so I thought I'd give it a try. It's not perfect, but it will do. Clayton really liked it so that's all that matters. I think he said, "Hey, that's really cool! (Laugh, Laugh.) I really like it!" Works for me...
On a side note...I originally set out to make his cake to save money. When I called around cakes were running $20, which I thought was CRAZY!! Being the frugal person that I am I thought I might save money by doing it this way...WRONG!! I have about $12 and 3 hours invested in this little cake. I may just pay the extra $8 next time. At least this cake will taste better than a Wal-mart cake!

I think it looks great!yea - I kinda thought that when I was decorating cakes "Is it really worth the little bit of money that you save?" But, there is something to be said for the feeling of accomplishment and the fact that your child knows that you did it for him. You did a great job! I am impressed.
That does look great! 10 times better than I would ever be able to do! Nice job!
You're so talented!
