Love this picture…

My family is blessed to have 2 amazing photographers. Most of you are familiar with my sister, Elizabeth’s, mad camera skills. But you may not know that my brother, Dan, is also a great photographer. Here’s a great shot Dan captured of Andrew and me while we were in Memphis last weekend for their going away party:

We're back!!

We hit the pavement early Tuesday morning for the first time since the end of May. Clayton was awake when we got back so he took our picture to capture the moment...good times!

Andrew goes to church

Sunday we took Andrew to church for the first time. He stayed with me throughout Sunday School and the service. As you can see from the above pictures it is not easy getting pictures of three boys, especially when daddy is gone, we are running late and the camera battery is dying. We made it though and at this point that is all that matters!!

Two funnies

Having a new baby in the house has been such an adventure! As I said in and earlier post Clayton and Jack could not be better brothers! We have been so blessed. In an attempt to get Andrew on a schedule I put him on a blanket in the living room to let him lay on his back. Clayton was at school and Fred was at work, so it was just me, Jack and Andrew. I stepped out of the room for just a second and this is what happenned:

Jack: Mom (said in two syllables), he's biting me!
Me: Jack, don't stick your finger in his mouth and he won't bite you!!
Jack: No not my finger, my sock...
Me: (running into the living room) Well, why is your foot in his mouth?!!?

Oh me, Jack is a funny boy! All was well, except for the fact that Andrew apparently got a taste of sock and foot. No harm, no foul!!

Later that day we went to Melody's house. When I walked in the door Bennett, who has not seen me since I had Andrew, looked at me and said with a gasp, "Mrs. Jennifer!! You're not fat anymore!!" I doubled over in laughter only to look over at Melody who sheepishly said, "I was hoping you didn't hear that." Too funny!!

Update from the Shackelford household

All has been going really well around here. Clayton and Jack could not have made this transition any better. Clayton really misses him when he's at school and Jack really wants to be a helper here at home. As per the pictures above you can see that Clayton LOVES to hold him. He wants to hold him before he goes to school and as soon as he comes in from school. While Andrew was in the swing I overheard Jack tell him to wait right there he was coming back with a book. He came running back in the room and sat down with him and "read" the book and showed him the pictures.

A few days ago Andrew smiled and mom was with Jack.
Mom: Look Jack, he smiled at you.
Jack: I fink he's smilin' because he knows I'm his bruder.
