Another Deal at Kroger

My camera (and Fred) is on it's way home from Turkey (yippee!!) so I can't snap a picture of all the "loot" I left Kroger with today. We'll all just have to settle for a list:

4 Mrs. Smith Apple Pies
4 Mrs. Smith Pumpkin Pies
2 cans Grands biscuits
2 pkg. Old El Paso taco shells
2 Betty Crocker Warm Delights
6 boxes of Betty Crocker fruit snacks
2 pkg. Nature Valley granola
3 boxes Hamburger Helpers
oil
Peanut butter chips
8 pack Reese's cups
1 lbs. bag marshmellows
1 box Fiber One bars
1 box Fiber One Muffin mix
1 box Ritz crackers
1 box Ritz crackerfuls
1 Betty Crocker cookie mix
1 loaf Wonder bread

Before coupons and discounts all of the above would have been $118.17. After all my coupons and Kroger deals I paid $34.82!! Amazing, isn't it!! Have I mentioned that I LOVE shopping at Kroger?!? Outside of my faith and my family I could discuss cooking and saving money at length. Thanks to a friend I found the neatest website this week that enabled me to do most of the above. You can go to www.faithfulprovisions.com to check it out.

Sharpshooter Triathlon

Fred and Corey ran in the Sharpshooter Triathlon in Collierville, TN this Saturday: 400 meter swim, 11 mile bike ride and a 2 mile trail run. The big boys left the house early (around 5:00 a.m.) and then Melody and I left with the little boys around 6:30 a.m. By the time we got to the race we had to wait at the bike transition to see them come in. Below Jack is waiting patiently for Fred: Fred rolled in on his bike and he was all business...

He's finishing the run and race here...

After the race we paused for a little family picture. Although Fred did not meet his personal goal he came in right over an hour. With his time he finished 4th in his age division! Way to go Fred!

This week Fred and I saw a program on the Food Network called,"The Best Thing I Ever Ate". Guy Fieri, the host of Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives, actually picked Uncle Lou's Chicken in Memphis. Since we were already in Memphis we thought we would give it a try. Uncle Lou was there so we had our picture made with him. If you are ever in Memphis you should give Uncle Lou's a try. It was delicious chicken!! You can check out the restaurant by clicking here.

Clayton's friend party

We loaded up the van and headed to Jackson with Clayton, Shannon, Caleb and Aiden for Clayton's friend party. He had several option to choose from for his party and he decided to take three friends with him to Jackson for a fun day. Jack and Bennett rode with Mrs. Melody. Mimi, Mun, Janice, Leeta and Mawmaw met us at our first stop in Jackson. We started off the day with a sausage biscuit from McDonald's in Paris. We then headed straight to Chuck E. Cheese and played some games. After we had used all our tokens we went to Chick-Fil-A for lunch. Then we went to Mimi and Tee's house for swimming and a little playtime.

Friday was Clayton's party, but it was Aunt Janice's actual birthday! The boys picked out a pink ball for her to have for her birthday. After all, as Jack would say, "Aunt Janice is a girl." Thus the reason for the pink ball!
